NISHA SATHIYANATHAN, LCSW

I love helping people grasp what motivates them to live their best lives. It's no secret that life is complicated. We each have our battles to face. If you're struggling, feel stuck, or just aren't living the life you want, I invite you to come and explore what potential you have. Together we will learn new coping skills, explore new avenues, and re-process how the brain is handling traumatic events. I primarily use Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to treat trauma and other mental blocks. I believe that you are the expert, and I'm here to support you.

I have extensive training in treating anxiety disorders, trauma, depression, and OCD. Some of my strengths as a therapist include being upbeat, motivated to help you accomplish your goals, empathetic, and responsive.

Whether you're having difficulty with having the motivation to fulfill your responsibilities, racing thoughts, suicidal thoughts, stress, trauma, panic attacks, or anxiety, I'm here to listen and help. If I cannot assist you, I will refer you a trusted colleague/provider who I believe can.

KAREN RICHARDS, MSW

As a mental health provider, I seek to establish a partnership with clients as we work together to set goals and implement effective strategies to manage anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress and other barriers to social-emotional well being.

My therapeutic focus is on leveraging client strengths to develop solutions and skills that enable individuals to invite peace and positive problem solving into their lives.

Clients of all ages can expect to approach therapy as a learning experience with targeted Solution-focused therapy, CBT, EFT and trauma-informed treatment interventions tailored to individual goals and needs.

Given the importance of a strong therapeutic alliance to treatment progress, I prioritize cultivating a space where clients feel welcome, safe and understood. Though spending the last few years raising four daughters and pursuing graduate degrees have aged me, I am committed to staying young at heart and relatable by building Legos, reading middle school fiction and using silly puns.

Qualifications:

  • B. S. Sociology; Emphasis in Research & Analysis, Brigham Young University

  • Master of Social Work, University of Utah

  • Master of Arts in Teaching (Special Education K-12), Western Governors University

  • Treating Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents Certified
